Florida roofs take a beating — UV, afternoon downpours, and hurricane season all shorten a roof's life down here. We install and replace asphalt shingle, metal, and tile roofs, and we handle repairs before a small leak turns into rotted decking and stained drywall inside.
A reroof starts with a tear-off down to the deck so we can see the sheathing, replace anything soft, and re-nail to current Florida code. Then synthetic underlayment, proper drip edge, ice-and-water in the valleys, and new flashing at every wall and penetration — flashing is where most leaks actually start, not the open field of the roof. Most single-family reroofs run 1-3 days depending on pitch, tear-off layers, and material.
“Ceiling height matters — standard 8-foot ceilings are straightforward, but vaulted or 10+ foot ceilings add time for scaffolding and cutting-in.”
For repairs, we find the real source of the leak, not just the wet spot on the ceiling. Storm damage, cracked tiles, lifted shingles, failed pipe boots — we document what we find, and if it's an insurance claim we'll walk the adjuster through it. Every roof gets a final ground-and-attic check before we call it done.
